OK I admit that I fucked up hard on this one. I remember when this came on binance and I knew about it from here. The shitposting was different so I knew something was up. Anyways I first bought it at 10 sat for 2 million and I was supposed to hold with iron hands. When this went up to 20 few moths ago I dumped it all and thus began my downfall. I ended up swing trading because I thought I can get more by gaining 5% more each time which would increase my stack more. At one point I put majority when hit 22 and then it dumped. So I left it there and then this happened and went back to swing trade and realized that I fucked up. I'm not a good swing trader nor am I devoted to become one. Now I'm stuck with half a million on 41. I feel stupid to think I can do it but the smart way was to buy and hold. If I did that I would gotten more. The idea behind holochain is that the "Crowd is the cloud." People can purchase holoports or they can run the holochain app on their operating system to host distributed cloud applications for people. These hosts can set their fee for the hosting service and in return will forfit their extraneous processing and storage power. What makes Holoports so awesome is the fact they use as much electricity as a lightbulb and will come with a specialized OS based off of linux which will allow the host to customize bandwidth and application settings. Technically holofuel is a mutual credit currency with a dynamic supply. But the value is derived from how much the network is being used and how much the demand is. Yes there may be more holofuel added into the market, but this is essentially supposed to undercut AWS / other cloud services who charge a whole lot for hosting. We could be in for a very big surprise on the swap. Because there is no general consensus, consensus is application specific, and their biggest logical problem they are solving is the valuation of computation performance. I'd recommend reading their white papers to understand all the problems they are solving, including traditional blockchain limitations as well as transaction fees issues with micro/atomic transactions. This is my best explanation of the coin that I can give you all.

well yeah, but as demonstrated by the last week or so, the books being super thin so tightly near the upper limit means we get these sudden bumps up by the difference; it went from 28-32 to 38-42 overnight for that reason. It's coming and coming in waves etc.

Still learning myself, but the most reliable indicator I have seen is a well formed bull flag.

You have your pole that forms followed by a flag. The flag tends to go downwards (but can be horizontal-ish).

An important thing to look at is volume. The volume from the left to the right of the flag reduces over time as the prices drops.

Outside of that, the Head and Shoulders pattern (I say Google that one) can be useful.

For something like HOT's bull run right now, TA can be easy to earn less than just holding through one.

Really the biggest thing is price action (how much it goes up and down) versus volume. If the price goes up a lot and the volume seems to be about what it should be, then that's good.
If the price barely goes up and the volume is super high, that may be a bearish indicator.

One way to see if a price has reached the bottom (or top even) is when the price action isn't moving much (it's traveling sideways) and the volume is low.

To be honest, nobody knows 100% how to read these things.

Everybody has some variation that works for them. About the only way to really know is to be a whale and control the volume and price action.
