That’s why our economy requires the majority of the population to be poor and fairly ignorant of the mechanics of our economic system. It’s literally a pyramid scheme, most things can be boiled down to a pyramid scheme. This is your red pill anon. The world is basically rigged against you if you’re not part of the elite, you either need to find a way to scam your way up the pyramid or basically break away. I’m personally breaking away from the pyramid

Yeah if you’re resourceful enough you can find a way to be pretty comfy without participating in the machine anymore. Took me til I was nearly 30 to figure this out, but I’ve laid the necessary groundwork to make it possible. I’ll be essentially at least a half time neet for the rest of my life, if not more

that's the genius of capitalism, it teaches wealthier people that they should buy more expensive things, so now even the middle and upper middle classes are hooked into a lifestyle of wageslavery and spending.

The only way to escape this is to realise spending isn't the route to happiness and instead plan for a sustainable, meaningful life.

Check’d. Not participating. Ideally it would be great to break away as in not paying property taxes, etc, but I’m not a maniac. So I’ve found a way to basically live off of having my house paid off and using various veterans benefits to pay for day to day shit. The key is basically eliminating all debt and reducing your expenses. I’ll probably have to work a part time job but not wage slavery. And if I can get some crypto to boom again or run a link node/live off dividends or staking then I won’t have to worry about part time work. I’ll contribute back to the greater good by doing various projects involving psychedelic drugs treating ptsd, documentaries, whatever. Yeah it all sounds super sketchy but it’s fairly sound if you had my perspective.

If I didn’t have certain advantages I could fall back on and was a legit unskilled neet I would probably learn to grow weed really well and do that. I’m a dude that’s fed up with how fucked the system is, that doesn’t mean I’m not going to use it to my advantage. If you can afford to be an idealist then good for you

i got rated %40 for laying my motorcycle down on the PCH. i did nothing but travel the world, drink beer, and learn skills on the government dime. did college and made $40k a year off the living stipend and scholarship refunds that i milked with "muh service". the VA home loan is the biggest benefit if you leverage it, no PMI makes rental properties ludicrously profitable.

Yeah obviously you can't sustain a passive income through investment if no one is working and creating value through the stocks they bought. Luckily it's human nature to want to get ahead so you'll always have people working to make more money even if a UBI is implemented, so this system sustains itself.

I think people that get burnt from the stock market (for whatever reason) basically resign from it until they FOMO back in (for whatever reason).

There are lots of reasons for both, but there are loads of perennial losers in the stock market, because there are lots of impatient people that need money now rather than in 10 years.

People get burnt and up until recently accessibility to the markets was also difficult - there are troves of working class who had no way to enter it until the last decade or so. Essentially this is how the free market provides a 'universal basic income' for all its just not for all its only for those who are based - as all things left to the hidden hand of the markets it allows for the culling of the weak and the advancement of humanity.

Basically money is printed indefinitely and this is given out to companies through subsidies, who pay a lot of that money out to their shareholders. Most of the share holders are the people involved with money printing.

So basically everyone's money is depreciated through inflating the currency units supply at a scary pace, but the people doing it get most of the money so their returns exceed the depreciation, giving them more money and power.

And at this point, once you know you will never suffer for trying, is when you strive for more.
For those who just want more, then at this point I have no sympathy; you will not starve, you will not be homeless, you can live contentedly with every basic need met. You have now, officially, zero reason to not strive if you want more. create, you'll never fail so badly you'll be homeless, work more or less it doesn't matter.

It doesn't work like that. There's a reason why not everyone can sit on their ass. If we all did that, nothing would get done. There has to be another cog for every one that gets out. In a dystopian totaltarian state, yes we might have a UBI system that works. You can't do that in today's world just yet, if ever.

what? Current prices are built into existing demand. Billionaires and millionaires spend less middle/lower class collectively so if you redistribute the previously "inactive" money to everybody you'll be inflating prices regardless because the demand will suddenly be higher

All you'll be doing is fucking over the upper-middle class with taxes and dragging everyone down to the lower class. You'll make it harder for anyone from the lower class to climb up the ladder because there will essentially be a tax chasm that you have to jump through and get so rich that you can dodge taxes without issues.

like many commie policies UBI is just bondage and slavery disguised as common good for all
