It will only matter if they price it EXTREMELY competitively and make the right deals (IE, not that much revenue).
I've grown weed before, you can read about it online.
Basically the soil requirements aren't that steep. They might be able to make some money selling overpriced bags of potting soil to a few idiots in Portland or Canada, but they probably won't be making millions selling to the big weed farmers.
If they do sell to the large farms, the margins will be extremely small. But the most likely case is that the big farms just buy cheap fertilizer from China and do soil control themselves. Just about any soil will do with a simple fertilization, you don't need some premium magical soil to grow weed

Well GE is on a roll lately.

The Wabtech spinoff deal is getting close to the finish line. GE Shareholders will get a piece of Wabtech. Which btw W is trading at $70 per atm. So after the deal closure you could sell your W shares and make back your entire GE investment and then some if you bought GE when it was 7 or thereabouts.

Healthcare spinoff is next; since this is already part of GE and not dealing with a 3rd party ideally I'd hope for a 1:1 share ratio. So you got 10 GE shares, you'd get 10 GE healthcare spinoff shares when it spun off. Healthcare is a booming industry and is very profitable. I'd hang on to this.

GE digital is also being spun out. This covers the IOT and tech part of GE. Also very profitable. Another keeper.

Baker Hughes is last. Who knows what the terms will be.

It's felt like AMD always gives you at least one good chance to bail out of a position, but day to day you might get stuck going one way for some extended time.
