I'm not touching weed stocks, I haven't bought or sold any.

The market in general probably has a long-term upside. The only long-term broad-market downside I can think of is if there is some medical study that shows clear downside, it will impact casual recreational use. Besides that, I think it will continue to be less 'cool' as it becomes more legal.

Onto the individual companies: way too much possible upside or downside to take a position. Sure any of these weed stocks could double or more. Or any of them could be crushed by competition.

There is a lot more to the market that is more tradeable for me. If you like taking risks on things you believe in (the teenage robinhood user, etc.), then weed stocks might be just your thing. And they might make you a lot of money.

You can't really get rich from dividends, but once you are rich they'll keep you there. Let's say you have 100k in relatively safe dividend stocks paying around 3% (yes there's higher, but this is blue chip territory). That's 3k a year. But if you have 2 mil at 3% you can live off of that 60k a year and continue to make gains on those stocks, which in theory would mean that every year you would make more and more. Dividends are your friend, but you need a lot of friends to make it.

For a good dividend portfolio to grow, you'll need a decade of investing and DCA into solid dividend growth companies. It will seem small at first, but if you continue at it, your money will start to earn its own money and once it starts snowballing it gets even better.

Don't look just at yield and certainly don't chase yield. Look at 10, 5 and 3 year dividend growth as well as the number of years the company has raised its dividend.

remember its a long game, keep at it and you can succeed.

but you have (I think) the somewhat misunderstanding outsider view that China is some strong, organized, monolithic thing.
They can crack apart and in-fight their way back to the rice paddies at a moments notice. It has happened before.
I wish China the best, but I think with an understanding of their history, their current growth won't last much longer.
Their leaders have tools that no Chinese leaders have had before to try and maintain order, but the citizenry is larger and more equipped as well.
