> Insurance doesn't cover cleanings every 3 months, only every 6 months
> Ahhhh I could've saved money by not having the regular cleaning at all and just used it later on unless of course a change of insurance plans ignores all previous dental work

the "gum issue" is an upsell technique they tell everyone. Just gently floss 2-3 more times per week and it should go away.

Enjoy your bleeding gums and rotten breath little bitch.

FYI periodontal cleanings take two visits because it takes so long. They have to dig through a shit ton of your lazy buildup.

Not a dental shill and I do believe a lot of these dentist/orthodontist have been completely ripping off people on a lot of stuff but I still think it's worthwhile to get an extra cleaning if you need it. My insurance covers me every six months so what I did was shedule a cleaning every 4 months. This way you only have to get one extra in the year and for me it came out to $80 after insurance. The two month difference from 4-6 can make an enormous difference in terms of breaking down tartar before it gets much more difficult to do so. If your hygienist is good (something that is very underrated imo) they will also be able to look at the 4 month mark and see the spots you are missing. Then you can correct from there and pretty soon you will be back on a six month schedule. For some reason I naturally have SUPER strong chad enamel that never gets damaged so I just had to brush correctly with an electric brush and I saw serious improvement. If your teeth are fairly straight you can get away with flossing every few days or so. I don't even floss and I'm fine. Lastly, proper tongue posture to avoid mouth breathing can seriously reduce the amount of work, because depending on the type of saliva you have it can sort of "bake" the bacteria onto your teeth at night. Practice mewing and be mindful of breathing out your nose. At first it is exhausting and you will be like "wtf is this autistic shit" but once you change your habit it can improve things A LOT. There is also significant research out there linking gum/tooth health as a key component to overall wellness. Good luck anon.
