Been awhile since I've traded crypto. Looking to get back into it. Currently I use Kraken, wanting to get on BitMex though.

I've seen tons of people say to just register with a VPN, which I have no problem with. Just wondering if anyone's gotten their account locked cause they then proceed to only use a US IP address.

Do not use a usa/Canada IP when using your VPN.

after registering is it ok to use a US IP?

so you have to use the VPN every time? Would latency be an issue on a decent VPN?

Use a country close to the US. I use Mexixan VPN. Btw Canadan VPN will get you banned also.

Wow I broke a crypto trading site's user agreement. I'm sure FBI is very concerned about me sitting in my underwear trading shitcoins.

My SO is Mexican, could we just make an account w/her info and I trade off it? Or is that getting into "illegal" territory?

Really all I care about is that I don't just log on one day to find my account frozen.

If you log in one time from a Canadian or American IP address you are going to have a problem

that's retarded
you could legitimately just be in the US lmao.
Do they every ask for KYC? I can do the VPN from another country, just worried about if they ever ask.

I use a vancouver vpn every single day. Quebec is the only spot that's banned. Everywhere else is good in Canada.

Most of the ppl in here have no idea what they are talking about.
It doesn't matter how u sign up, u just need to use an IP outside of the US and Quebec. They don't ask for any personal info, there is no kyc. I have a us account and if I log in right now I get a notice at the top of the screen saying us users aren't allowed. I can still trade but they log me out every 2 mins or so. If I keep doing that they will alert me I have 7 days to close all positions and withdraw or they will close then for me. So I just logic. From Vancouver now and it's all good, zero issues, no notices. Read. Their TOS if u need clarification on what areas are ok. Also, when I registered I did using vpn and I said I was from Sweden, they don't give a fuck bout none of that.

That's what I've heard. I didn't know if that was still the case.

My fear is just getting my account frozen and dealing with all that.

So, just using a VPN, sign up, say different country, and just keep using a VPN from out of the country?

Yes, always log in with a VPN now. You need to register with one also. They won't just close you're account though, they give you a week and they will send you an email saying that you need to close your positions and withdraw so even if something does happen you will have time to get out. At which point you just temake a new account and redeposit your BTC. It's dumb easy and they really don't enforce their rules so enjoy it while it lasts.

alright, sounds good. You already get your account closed once?

I guess I don't mind that, I'd just rather not incur that risk but I guess its worth it for the fee structure vs other exchanges.
