I’ve been trading forex for 3 years now and I believe I have recently found an edge. The link below is to myfxbook profile that shows my demo account I’ve been currently trading.

My win ratio is higher than 90%. Drawdown is quite low.

Looks good, but you don't have enough of a sample size to determine anything - 70 trades is still statistically insignificant even if you've done really well over the past 10 days.

Have you backtested the strategy at all? Care to share any more details?

Thank you. Yes, I realize the sample size is still small however I’m a scalper so it should keep increasing significantly at a fast pace. I have never backtested anything.

Basically getting to this point was a culmination of 3 years trading full time, and lots of loss, failure, trial and error, adapting and shifting things, persistence and hard work.

I basically don’t use any indicators at all. Not even a single moving average. My chart is just regular candle stick and I’m trading some patterns that I find by looking at highs and lows.

I don’t get perfect entries and exits. Things go against me quite often. And I take profit too early most of the time as well.

Trading with demo accounts doesn't really matter because your emotions are not involved, so unless you have the mindset of a sniper you are up for a rough ride my friend. Good luck.

We’ll see what happens. Although I’m trading demo, I try to trade as realistically as possible in terms of taking risks. Besides, I’ve shared this link with a bunch of other people as well, and my intention is to cause a good impression on them (and on all of you on this chan) so for some reason even though it’s demo I still feel that my reputation is on the line. There’s still some pressure involved, at least for me.

i trade the same way, based solely off of price action. i dont have time to go through all of your trades but im assuming you are trading the trend on multiple time frames and choosing low risk entries and just taking the meat of the move?

OP here. Not exactly. I trade only 1 timeframe, and it’s a low one since I scalp mostly. And I’m still trading some patterns, but those patterns are on the candlestick itself. I still draw things on the chart, just to make it clear.

Demo account, real trading is different, try having to add money every few mins to keep a position open or face liquidation, trust me i went from making 100k in a demo account, to fucking up 8k in real money in 3 days, i even set the demo account to have the same amount, the house always wins. Dont do it unless u have a bot.
