I don’t see why nodes can’t use ETH for staking. Is it because ETH doesn’t have the transfer and call function? Doesn’t seem like that could be a big deal. I just don’t see the need for the token to exist besides it being used for a fundraising mechanism. Using a stable coin doesn’t make sense because stable coins need to rely on decentralized oracles but I don’t see why nodes can’t stake ETH for collateral.

Can’t use DAI because stable coins rely on decentralized oracles but using ETH would work fine. The volatility wouldn’t be an jssue bc link will be just as volatile
