I signed up for accounting at college, tomorrow my first day. Any advice or thoughts? I have no idea what to expect. I got a degree in History already but it's useless of course

respectable profession if you go into it, can hand a job in lots of industries too

do the fucking homework for real and it's easy af. Tests are 90% reworded homework questions with like one gimmick thrown in when I took my classes

I was thinking about going into Accounting over CS but I remembered that Accounting is a lot of memorization and fuck that shit.

It’s not too hard desu. Always remember where cash is going in a transaction. Also Assets equals liabilities plus owners equity and make sure debits equal credits.

Also apply for internships after your second year, preferably in public for a fat paycheck.

I tried to teach myself code in my final year and I got a short contract doing some babby-tier SQL stuff but it's definitely not for me, trying to learn basic Python made my brain melt and apparently that's easy. Shame because there's a lot of money in it and you can find work anywhere which is all I care about.

this is encouraging, I chose it because it seemed like the best way to become wealthy without having to think too hard
