How well am I doing compared to everyone else? I’m 21, zero debt. At the rate I’m making and saving, I’ll have $50,000 by November.

You are in a good spot, I would allocate some of that 50K savings into safe stocks and into crypto. If you want to be a millionaire, buy 39K of BSV now, and in 2 years when the price hits 2K, you will have done nothing and will be a millionaire. I would also put 11k into some boring portfolio that is controlled by the (((them))), because for some reason diversity is good.

Is there any point in having money in a checking account?

I have may pay go directly into my savings account so that it earns interest. I purchase everything on credit card with an interest free period to take advantage of the interest + cash back on the card, and then I pay the credit card balance in full from my savings account. The only reason I use my checking account is when I need physical cash for something, I will transfer the amount needed from the savings to the checking and withdraw it from the ATM. It's only in my checking account for seconds.

Am I doing it right?

I have zero debt also and make all purchases on credit cards that pay off in full every month for reward points. reward structures are built into all retail pricing now. it's usually around $1k give or take a few hundred.
