Does anyone here actually have logical reasons to believe in certain cryptocurrencies? Or is it just pure hype and memeing? For example, what basis does anyone have for thinking that Chain Link is gonna explode in value? Most normies will never know what link is nor will they ever care, so how will there be enough demand to make it worth anything? Bitcoin only blew up because its the main cryptocurrency that normies know about.

I believe in Tron for many reasons. They turned themselves from a scammy 2017 erc20 whitepaper shittoken, to delivering massively throughout 2018 with the migration to their own blockchain, release of their virtual machine to allow dapp creation, the purchase of Bittorrent to make good on their vision of trying to create a decentralized internet, huge marketing pushes with dapp creator funds, and a mainnet that actually works and released with no issues.

I am genuinely excited about Atlas, and the prospect of transforming torrents into an incentivised way to share data. Let's forget Tron for a moment, and just think about how the number one flaw for torrents is going to be resolved this year.

Imagine an end to the days of running into files you wanted being abandoned.

This is an actual, simple use case and implementation of blockchain technology, and for this reason, I'm comfortable with my investment. Fuck the memes and how you personally feel about the people. Look at the hard facts and what a team has been doing, who they've allied with, and the strength of their marketing. Tron hits all of those.

The projects that are pursuing decentralized finance on top of Ethereum will bring value. Do some homework on the ecosystem that will be supporting Wrapped Bitcoin and thank me later.

Yes, as a programmer I invest purely using my own analysis of the code. You can scam your way into looking legit, throw millions at team members, 'advisors' and marketing, but code doesn't lie.

I won't invest in anything where I can't see unique good quality development - no Bitcoin/Dash forks, no babby's first electron apps, no idea-only ERC-20 tokens.

Though at this point I'd say my knowledge is a curse, it's had me hold way longer than I should have given market conditions. At least I can say I'm not fucking selling because I genuinely believe in what I'm holding, not because I'm so far down I have no choice
