If you want to be in tech, you should understand coding up to a certain point, but once you specialize and know what you're doing, you'll be seduced by the relatively easy cash of coding.

And all the business aspirations will start to fade. It's what happened to me anyway.

Hire them to teach you to code. Make the stipulation that you want to be involved as a junior dev supporting him. I recommend you do some learning first.

Everyone should learn to code.
Everything these days is a computer or is connected to one, so if you learn now you will improve so much in 10 years and by then things will be even more reliant on computers.

You can hire Russians and Pajeets to write the code using Odesk for dirt cheap, but don't be surprised when they duplicate or sell your idea to someone else.
