Tell me your stupidest failed business ventures (crypto is okay too)

For me: I bought 50 copies of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows from a wholesale website. I didn't know what I was doing and ended up paying retail cost + shipping. I listed them on eBay and sold exactly 1 copy, which ended up being returned anyway. It was too much work to sell them on Craigslist or whatever, so I just threw all 50 of them in the dumpster

I started a business that bought in 100k users the first month, the problem was that I set the price so low i couldn't pay operational costs and make profit

Remember to do your math kids

>Pre-ordered a video game (€75) when I was 15 knowing that my laptop would not be able to handle the game even on the lowest settings.

>Bought a second hand €100 iPod when I was 16 with the sole purpose of reselling it for a small profit. No buyers.

>Wasted 3 years in college. Didn’t graduate.

>Grandpa in bad health gave me 10k with the purpose of buying a house. I refused because of the whole bubble thing. Family pressured me into getting a loan (my mother insisted I spoke to a lawyer about this) and using the money ASAP because if grandpa dies in the next 2 years the government will count it as a gift and tax the shit out it

>Fomo’d in at 11k. Never sold.

>Started working at a bank, knowing full well my job probably won’t exist in a couple of years because of crypto

I also wanted to buy the right to use premade websites (€1200) of a company to sell it further to small businesses. Got too scared because I haven’t succeeded in doing anything successful economically in my life and turned into a frightened little bitch ever since.

I think the fact that you are still able to pay your internet bill after so many fuckups is enough of a success story. At least you cut your losses short which is the only reason people jump off buildings. You are a better investor than 50% of Wall Street.

>bought stuff off Silk Road back when one BTC was like 2 bucks
>read all about BTC and blockchains
>bought again one year later when price bumped to 10 dollars/BTC
>still didn't invest in BTC

>lost 2 months worth of my income on intrade.com betting on markets I never should have bet on
>lost 4 months worth of income just betting generally
>made only 100% of my initial investment in 2017 cause I got scared reading bitfinexed and made my exit already in March
>got pwned by my own family in an inheritance dispute cause I'm massive pushover
Apart from the last one, nothing major. In hindsight, it could have been way worse.
>pic unrelated
