Not enough buy pressure to do that, I would need like a 230 ETH buy wall for that and the ability to fill partial orders and that's apparently not a priority for Jonny or the team, which I understand though

I feel bad for people buying into LP now. There will obviously be competitors which will drive the value down significantly. Also it’s no longer in the LP team’s best interest to pitch LP to big companies. Jonnie now works for Chainlink, Sergey isn’t going to let him go to their partners and start shilling his product. That’d be terrible business sense, and I’m sure Jonnie likes his job.

jonny will know exactly what he needs to add to his nodes for these big companies, who do you think they will turn to first for nodes on their contracts?
I have a feeling that at least one linkpool node will be used for most requests in chainlink

You think people is buying LP shares because of its speculative potential, but it really isn't like that.

- If you hold LP shares you get staged priority staking (even if you only hold 0.04 you will eventually be able to stake your entire stack of LINK before the public).
- You get a percentage of every LINK that linkpool earns.
- You will get the ability to vote changes through a DAO system

Wrong. Check the LinkPool Telegram. The amount you can stake depends on the amount of your shares. There are 1000 shares and they estimate to have 15 million link in total. Means your 0.04 LP allows you to stake 600 LINK.

Buy Linkpool shares and wait for mainnet.

>> No.12428072

>>12428026
You can stake your Link by running a node that provides data to trigger smart contracts. Smartcontracts requesters will pay you for the API data you provide. That's an automatic process but it requires a certain level of tech understanding and setting up your node in a downtime-proof manner (probably hosting it in a cloud service). The other option is staking in a pool like LinkPool: they will manage the node and will get a 25% cut of the benefits you receive for their services (note this is not a definitive percentage, it may change in the future to be more competitive).

By the way, just to clarify a common misconception. Staking your LINK =/= mining average cryptocurrencies. It's a payment someone does in exchange for your services as data provider.
