Honestly, I'm waiting for capitulation before buying bags. I got out of most alts in July when we were hanging around 6k. Right now I only hold btc, eth and ltc.
When the bottom is in, i'll start looking at alts that can go 10x from where they land. Its not worth trying right now imo since we could see a lot more downside in the next few weeks.

Don't underestimate the staying power of something that has lasted this long in crypto. Just because something is outdated and not technically sound doesn't mean its going anywhere. We still have DOGE in the top 25 marketcap ffs. I'd be very cautious of trying to apply venture capital concepts to crypto, especially at this stage.
That being said, that site you linked has some interesting projects in their portfolio.

Most exchanges don't go away, they just get replaced as top dog. For example, Poloniex and Bittrex were king once when it came to altcoins. Now look at them.
Binance is doing fine right now, but all it takes is one fuck up and they will get replaced by the next up and coming exchange.
