You're in good shape. Don't fuck it up. Save and invest as much as possible. Expenses catch up to you quickly when you hit your late 20s

I'm really confused by this. I studied finance at a big state school and I know of ton of people who now work at banks, and their starting salaries are about 70k, increasing every year.

How is it possible that someone who did above average in college and networked can somehow surpass the mean income of households in the US?

That doesnt seem entirely unreasonable to me. I just graduated high school last year and I make 50k

Maybe he went to a local school or a small state school. Finance seems like one of the more meme degrees where getting a good job pretty much depends on going to antop finance school and networking well.

I went to a small state school and majored in accounting for this reason with a double major in finance to qualify for the CPA and most straight finance majors ended up at Starbucks or as dealers with 40k being considered amazing.

It also depends on where you live this is a small town in the Midwest.
