KYC is only effective against those who are the vulnerable targets of exploitation through a Sybil attack. Any legit organization will easily circumvent such safeguards.

No, this is a legitimate concern. If Holo relies on KYC to prevent Sybil attack then any form of conspiracy will easily circumvent it since each participant can independently pass a KYC check. This is just common sense.

No. KYC offers no Sybil protection. The actors who are most likely to conduct Sybil attacks are covert state actors and they can easily bypass KYC. Other groups such as corporations, NGOs, criminal and terrorist organizations can bypass KYC as well. These attacks are likely to go unnoticed, as they would only affect one Holochain per attack. That is pretty convenient for attackers.

The ones who need protection are the end users, but they are the ones being guarded against by KYC. Seems backwards to me.
