There has only been a handful of ICO's this year that actually created working products. The only ones I like are exchange based ICO's. These are simple and aren't formulated off of ideas. These ICO's are trying to solve problems that don't even exist. An example of a working ICO that can do good in a bull market is Nauticus (https://nauticus.exchange/).). Exchange coins can be easy money if you're not a pleb.

I've bought 1 ICO this year and it was a well researched choice and i'm still happy about it.

All erc20's are going to 0. ETH is going sub 50 before recovering.

Exchange coins are horrendous investments. They provide no equity and the fee/reward structure are always subject to the exchanges whim. You’ll never make anything substantial investing in exchange tokens.

I agree I think the only less risky bet right now is to pick something that is a unique protocol that has its shit together, has a working product ready to build on (industry ready) and that already has active adoption and people planning to build on it with releases happening atleast early this year before Q2. Else its just a bunch of shit and latecomers trying to cash in on the ICO game.

I saw that BitTorrent was gonna launch an ICO through Binance Launchpad
It sounds legit, I don't know how a token in BitTorrent is going to solve the seeding problems of some files, but hey, it is a working product after all, and they are leveraging from TRON's success, I think the TRON shills might make this an interesting investment.

I don't about you guys, what do you think about it? It does sound like a solution trying to find a problem

Didn't Tron buy Bittorrent? Or was that something else? I'd be wary of it. My advice or opinion isn't worth much as I'm probably just as clueless as anyone else but my opinion is that any company looking to utilize blockchain should use the protocol's native gas/token instead of issuing one themselves. Look at KIN, even they are struggling with their token and their CEO said that it's basically not worth it unless you're already very big and established which they are.

Cryptocurrency is just way to niche, blockchain is pretty versatile but trying to make a cryptocurrency work is something completely different and I don't think anyone has really nailed it yet.

Yeah, Tron bought BitTorrent and Justin Sun is the CEO of the company now. BitTorrent is going to use a TRX-10 token, or something like that, it's just something akin to the ERC-20 standard.

They are just going to use Tron's blockchain, that's why I'm considering this project. Tron has a pretty loud community, if you get in before they start trying to convince everyone, one could make some decent money.
Everybody knows what torrent is, and they're piggy backing from the most well-known torrent client.

if someone's buying ICOs in 2018-2019 he's asking to get JUSTed. Even if it's a solid project it will open right away at a 90% loss on the first exchange listing

U just have to DCA, I averaged in with 2k and I'm down 40% and it's very young and illiquid still so I'm not that worried.

ICOs are rubbish now. You might as well "invest" in the next Bitcoin fork.

Exchange tokens are legit the most comfy hold leading up to the next bullrun. BNB has already had its day to shine (and their bot system is keeping it artificially high, so it's pointless to invest anymore), but there are other cheaply priced coins out there selling for pennies on the dollar. Even if a few of them collapse, the ones that do take off will make you low-key millionaires.
