They literally ran out of demand. Nobody wants their shitty $100k cars. Google it -- production declined in Q4 compared to Q3 because nobody's buying. You can now buy a Tesla and get it delivered same-week because the order backlog is completely gone (except for the preordered $35,000 Model 3s, which Elon still hasn't started building, and he explicitly said that they don't want to actually build them because selling those cars at a loss will "kill" Tesla). Tesla is currently sitting on unsold inventory of like 10,000 cars.

So why exactly do you think that building a second factory to manufacture MORE cars would solve the problem of nobody wanting to buy a Tesla?
