How do you know you are a 'marked man' in your wageslave job?

I feel like I am slowly becoming one.

>don't receive any goodgoy praise from bosses anymore
>more and more work dumped on me
>micromanaging being ramped up
>when I push back or offer constructive criticism to manager, they take it as an attack and become defensive
>colleagues all ask why I have so much more work

What is going on here?

They're trying to force you to quit. You should start job hunting now.

When you've been there for 4 years but they pay you the same as someone who was just hired.

They can't fire you unless they have built up a case to present the manager. It's called constructive dismissal, where they create an environment that becomes unbearable for you so that you will voluntarily quit.

It's sneaky because they achieve this by putting on more busy work and diverting resources away from you towards the favored ones.

You can mitigate this by pretending you don't know whats going on, sitting down with your boss and say work is tough and you feel like you're unfairly treated. If your boss ignores this just bring it to HR, get a case opened on him and he'll tread a lot more carefully.

This happened at my last job...

Basically they view you as important, don't want to lose you, but don't want to promote you either... Maybe you pissed someone off or something...

Start looking for a new job ASAP

There is this guy at my work that nobody likes because he is incompetent and has an extremely annoying voice and cringy social mannerisms. Maybe that's you?

>> No.12362788

One obvious tell is when they relocate you from a big office to a smaller one or from sitting around "high status" individuals to sitting around normies.
Another is getting performance reviews when others aren't.
Man I'm glad I got the fuck out of there.

If he was incompetent, they wouldn't give him more work... environment seems toxic Anon... Good luck whatever you decide

You could get the point across by saying "I have a lot of work right now, you're really piling it on me, could you send the task to Bob?" or "I must be really good at this if you're giving me so much more work" or flip the script and give them an idea of how long your current projects will take. "This will take me until 1:00pm to finish, I'll start on the next thing right after"

Just be open, there is nothing really wrong with saying stuff like this. You are probably just not forward enough.

Your boss probably found out that their boss was impressed with the work you are doing. Try to find a way to irreparably screw over your boss, or find another job.
