This course is written by Ari Jules.

Do you think it's worth the money (for me it'll work out to around €1200 or so).

Already have a degree in finance and years of experience as a business analyst in banking and legal. I'm a contractor which means I'm paid by the day and where I work hires my company (simple limited company).

I want to be able to charge more money per day when more traditional businesses eventually start moving towards blockchain development.

Is this a good idea?

It'll work out to about €1200 after tax so it's not too bad. If I could charge an extra €100 a day as a result of it it would be worth it for sure.

Ari has a strong jaw, he could look Chad as fuck if he got a decent hair cut and got contacts. I'd shop it in but I don't have the skills.

try this. mock up a fake resume with a fake name similar to yours with this cert on it.

if employers seem to be biting then go for the course and get it for real.

Having not done much research, I think the short answer is: maybe.

He's got a ton of former students at successful jobs in both private industry and academia, implying he's a good teacher. That's the biggest draw for me -- someone who can actually teach can change your life in 8 weeks.

Also, he's at the forefront of a ton of important projects -- quant, link, iso20022, et cetera. Even if some of what you learn might not immediately seem applicable (90% of the business world can't even describe what a blockchain is, let alone why it might be useful to hire someone like you), it could give you an idea of how to market yourself. You'd be taking the class to figure out how to break into an industry that practically doesn't exist yet; that could be a good or bad thing depending on how you slice it.

If you have the money lying around, fuck it why not?

I'm intrigued OP but it seems kind of overpriced to me. As others have commented, why not just buy Link with that money instead? Jules is a big plus but there are other options out there. Will his certificate really matter more to clients than this one, for instance? It's a lot cheaper. https://www.edx.org/professional-certificate/linuxfoundationx-blockchain-for-business

the Cornell name is what you are paying for. People see that on a resume and think you're automatically god. what you will learn you can easily find though.

if you have a business idea or research idea related to blockchains, this would be a good program to take to flesh the idea out in an academic way.

otherwise, it doesn't seem that special.

This, haven't you guys learned yet that the entire corporate/white collar world is a pointless dick measuring contest? Putting Cornell next to your name gets you a job.
