I would try finding a full time job BEFORE you move out. Don't touch your savings. Get a credit card, work for 2 years or so. By the time you're 25 you can use your 50k for a down payment. I'd tell you to buy a house as soon as you get a full time job but that's not how banks work.

I moved out with like $500 and a bunch of random handmedown furniture, currently making it (100k/year job, hot gf, etc) and now I would rather die than move back in with my parents.
