I actually thought about that before, but there's already such a large and varied glut of gardening supply stores, plant nurseries, landscapers, and gardeners in my area that I'd just be another drop in the well. Hell, that environment is probably why I got into gardening in the first place.

Here is the thing. You dont have to reinvent gardening store. Also there is a reason there are alot of gardening stores. Because there is a need.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Problem isnt the product you are selling, problem is how you market the product.

There is literally nothing stopping you to beat all the other gardening stores in the area. You just have to figure what customers want and deliver that.

Though it can be stressful when it's busy, I ultimately enjoy what I do, am gaining skills & developing myself, and I see value in the service we provide.

Problem is I come onto 4chan and see all these sociopaths bragging about making double, triple what I make. I know a lot of it is LARPing but it gets to me.

Is it worth trying to get into some in-demand field and racing with all the other BMW-obsessed status-seeking rats? Is the grass really greener?

It's not like I'm impoverished, I have a car, no debts and 37 grand in the bank. I save 1.5 a month. I'm comfortable being frugal and don't see value in excessive material possessions or status symbols.

I think I just have a smartphone addiction. Every day after work I waste an hour or two on 4chan reading this shitty board
