Bitcoin with segwit solved the problem you retard. Now on Bitcoin it has an effective 2 MB blocks, but not even 1 MB is used. The reason fees were so high in December was that most people hadn't accepted Segwit transactions, and so fees and congestion were there.

Because after Segwit, implementations that previously needed a hard fork which were extremely hard to coordinate, can now be activated with soft forks. What many people fail to realize is that in order for a hard fork to work, ALL nodes need to migrate to that new chain, AND all the users need to sell all their coins on the previous chain and put their money on the new chain in order for it to keep the economic powerhouse to keep going. If these things don't happen, any fork of Bitcoin is doomed to fail from the very beginning.
