Why would anyone store a % of his wealth into natural elements with an available quantity that just keeps increasing over time?

Quantity increases through mining only when economically it's feasible for the miners to do so. As profit goes down, mining reduces.

The quantity also doesn't noticeably increase. Many people, businesses, and governments stick it back so it's effectively removed from the economy unless there's a big market collapse (and even then, during previous recessions people tend to hold onto it even harder.) Also, a lot of industrial gold and silver gets just plain wasted every year. Things that go into electronics, for example - a lot used, only a tiny bit ever recovered.

Overall, PM's are a decent investment, a very good store of value, and the only long-term globally and historically proven medium of exchange.

I'm not sure. I think most goldbugs either halfway or fully believe in some weird post-shtf scenario, where gold is somehow transactable.

As the other poster has said, it's a store of value, but also highly speculative and shouldn't be used for serious investment.

Quantity of silver availlible is decreasing actually.
Silver industrial use are superconductors, solar panels and big pharma. In all these sectors the silver get destroyed/can't be recycled.
And the price spot for silver is so low because of comex manipulation it's not viable for mines to extract it anymore. The supplementary supply only come from others metals mining process, because silver is commonly found in gold, copper, platinum veins, it's simply a byproduct.
