Women CEOs are bulls only hope edition

>I'm new to the stock market, what stocks should I buy?
Before you buy anything, make a brokerage account and read investopedia articles and/or the books in the OP list. If you don't have a broker, you can't buy stocks, and if you blindly buy things without understanding how the stock market works or doing any research on the individual stocks you're buying, you will lose money and it will be entirely your fault.

Whole market is trading like small cap spec stocks. I weirdly feel right at home with this. S&P is bouncing off lower line of descending channel and thinking about pushing for the upper line. Pretty straightforward as far as TA on an index goes. I'll post up a chart with meme lines showing what I mean after close in 30 minutes.

copypasting the stuff I posted in the last thread (1/3)

NAFLD (Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease) is a very common and often symptomless disease caused by the buildup of fat in the liver. In some cases, people with NAFLD will develop NASH (Non-Alcoholic Steatohepatitis), in which inflammation and liver cell damage are present in addition to the buildup of fat in the liver. In its later stages, people with NASH can develop fibrosis (scarring) in their livers, which can in severe cases progress to liver cirrhosis, an extremely serious and life-threatening condition. The NASH market is forecasted to be worth $20-$35 billion dollars by 2025, and most large players in the NASH space (MDGL, ICPT, VKTX, etc) are focused on treating fibrosis and preventing progression to cirrhosis. One example of a company focused primarily on treating cirrhosis, however, is GALT.

GALT's sole competitors in the NASH cirrhosis space are CNAT and Gilead. CNAT missed primary endpoints in its most recent clinical trial, and Gilead's NASH drug has shown mixed results in clinical trials. GALT's primary drug of interest, GR-MD-02, works by inhibiting the action of galectin-3, a molecule implicated in a wide variety of diseases, including NASH, cancer, fibrosis, endometriosis, and asthma. In a phase 2 clinical trial of GR-MD-02 for the treatment of NASH cirrhosis, GR-MD-02 showed a statistically significant and promising effect in the reduction of hepatocyte ballooning (occurs when hepatocytes, a type of liver cell, increase in size and then explode and die) and in preventing the formation of esophageal varices (enlarged veins in the esophagus that can rupture and cause life-threatening bleeding). It did, however, miss its primary endpoint in the reduction of HVPG (hepatic venous pressure gradient). This may have occured due to an error in trial design. Per recently published FDA guidelines, phase 2 NASH clinical trials should last 12-18 months, which GALT's trial did not. Additionally, its effects in the reduction of hepatocyte ballooning and preventing the formation of esophageal varices were promising enough that GALT has moved onto Phase 3 clinical trials in NASH. In addition to NASH, GR-MD-02 has shown promising results in the treatment of melanoma and head and neck cancer, significant increasing Keytruda's response rate in a recent combination trial. GR-MD-02 is safe (producing little to no significant side effects) and relatively inexpensive to produce (being derived from apple pectin).

Okay, here is my swing trader's point of view on today's S&P price action. Like I said further up the thread, this thing is behaving similarly to a small-mid cap speculative meme stock at the moment.

Short term descending channel, held lower line a couple days ago. RSI went oversold on weekly chart at the low of this trend. Oversold bounce, bulls hopped on and ran it up to the upper trend line for close today. If this were a stock and I was swing trading it, I would have taken partial profit right before close to hedge against the scenario of bounce back down off upper line.

Tomorrow's forecast? Potentially red open and then I don't know. Maybe inside candle or something. Or the bulls say fuck it and ram the thing up over $2500. I have no clue.

I thought CNBC has an AI algorithm that pumps out these articles? That's why they are all so similar and come up so fast. If you read a few of them they all sound the same. The algorithm would be quite simple: if it falls you just insert some fear mongering and <political instability/trade war/global slowdown>. Easy stuff and no reason to have loser journalists on your payroll. You could even have snippets of text and have the algorithm combine them into articles.

Because significant financial news only occur on a weekly to monthly basis.
Those pundits have to publish dozens of articles a day, though, with new reasons why stocks move a certain way. Consequently the quality is garbage tier.
Reporting on stock price movements is really a waste of time. Judging by the comments, though, it's a good clickbait.

Not yet. Indices have to break out of falling trends for bears to lose this one. That hasn't happened yet. As far as the S&P is concerned, a sustained break above ~$2750 is key. Break and hold above $2800 to confirm reversal.

No. It's the previous CEO Rory Read and the Zen arch team. Jim Keller was not instrumental in the creation of zen. Only gave advice in later stages.

Lisa Su has prioritized resources very well and steered the ship on the path Rory laid out masterfully, though. She deserves credit for that. She no doubt had to step on several big dick toes internally in the process, especially in RTG.
