Then why "leave" won the referendum? Everybody got duped? Even if that's true, you don't get a second vote. People should have tried to inform themsleves at the best of their ability BEFORE voting, not afterwards. No use in crying over spilt milk.

I'm not a Brit and I don't give two shits about your country, but all in all Brexit might not be such a bad thing. It will cause a lot of pain at first (both for the UK and the EU) but I'm sure things will work out before long. The bigger issue is how to handle the border with Ireland since the agreement with Northern Ireland depended on the fatct that both Ireland and the UK were into the EU. The situation in Northern Ireland will have to be solved back from square one.

2 and a half years ago a gaggle of uneducated citizens, who live in a representative democracy, gave an undefined answer to a vague question.

'leave' won by ~4%

the problem is, the group who voted 'leave' were all voting for different things, many wanted to remain in the single market, some didn't, some wanted a 'soft' brexit, some 'hard', some 'norway' style, some 'canada++++' style, whatever the fuck they are. the point is, no one knew how the fuck 'leave' was supposed to be executed.

The rest voted for a clearly defined and absolutely known answer of 'remain'.

many would absolutely NOT have voted leave if no deal was the outcome. the leave campaign specifically trumpeted that we would leave with a 'good deal' and that 'things would be better'.
'no deal' was frequently dismissed as 'project fear' and generally total non-sense.

here we are, 2 and a half years later, still with no deal, no plan, not a fucking clue, less than 50 working days in parliament before 29th of march and they are using the time to prepare for a no deal, including engaging the army and stockpiling food + medicine.

Anyone with half a brain can establish that the current deal will NEVER pass parliament, especially with the batshit crazy DUP.

this is all an exercise to keep may in power as long as possible so she can pass the buck at the last minute, ensuring that the next government to take over the shit-show she left behind has to clean up the mess she's made.

Brexit was a high-risk investment. Who are you truing to blame for the uncertainty and the "vagueness"? Nobody knows the future; Brexit was a bet and the British people decided to take that bet when they voted "leave". If their investment will turn sour they will only have themselves to blame; not the demagouges, not the EU; only themselves. The UK had the best possible deal with the EU, but the English couldn't stand that their plumbers had a Polish accent; therefore they voted for "leave".

If the UK wants to leave the EU, that's fine, but do it in a controlled manner. revoke article 50 now and return to the process when we are ready. everything happening now is totally unprecedented, rushed, destructive, amateurish and wholly embarrassing for the UK on the world stage.

decades of integration cannot be cleanly stripped away in 2 years, especially when the government has spent this time in-fighting and holding (+losing) a general election.

If its a vague question, it would be further fleshed out and contextualized during parliament debate, by subject matter experts.
The act of pushing it to MP debate would, by matter of process, make it much less vague than it was when presented to the population, unfiltered.

And yes, I am very inexperienced in the economy, which is exactly why I should not have been asked directly a yes/no question on weather we should leave the largest single market in the world or not. That is exactly the fucking problem, idiot. I do not think i am high and mighty above my fellow man, I am not a subject matter expert and should not have been tasked as one.

Again with the lies. I have already discussed lies in this thread. I don't understand you people: politics are riddled with lies, always, not just this one time. What are you gonna do about it? The same thing could be said for the United states when it was formed! The original flag of the US is 13 stars in a circle on a blue background! what is the EU one?
Before the United States what were the states? The states were different countries like the states (countries) that joined the EU. When Columbus got there it took nearly 300 years to make the United states of America.

Most mutt think it was him even though he landed more north! Even using your 156, the states were still free untill the UNITED STATES was formed. THIS IS MY POINT!

Before the EU was formed the states (countries) where free i.e not unified.
FYI i went to school in Muttland...its told to school children its Columbus, its only later in the education cycle you learn it was not actually the original colonies!

In any case, our government is wonderful and I'm flattered you are trying so hard to emulate us, but you will never be us. We do however put tremendous value on state's rights. There are secession movements like some fags out in Cuckifornia are pushing for. If they really want to leave I say good riddance, but they will also be sacrificing protection by our military. You should respect the sovereignty of the UK if they really want to leave. They'll be fine without the Frankenstein's Monster that is the EU.

Your point falls flat. Let us accept that 156 years passed between the original settlement in 1620 and 1776. In that period of time, the governments were substantially less formalized than the European ones at the time of EU formation. By your logic, the EU's formation can be compared to the formation of the United States if it were to occur hundreds of years before the first settlement on the lower 48. That didn't happen so they aren't comparable, and you're an idiot sophist.

Before 1776 the states had there own rule i.e separate countries! over the years it got perverted! now the states have little to no rights that is why they are talking of seceding! much like the UK from the EU!
