Thank God you didn't go full retard and put a dime in crypto of any kind.

Then read a little more and realize that there are actually a shit ton of decent investments based on real principles and they work. Put your money in an aggressive growth index fund and I defy you to tell me that 10 years from now you won't have a lot more. Put it in a moderate index or a conservative index and you'll still have a lot more. The only limitation is there are good and not good times to cash out, but if you don't touch it for a while and the market isn't great (e.g. the Democrats are in power in the US), catch it on the next upswing. Don't chase it. You shouldn't invest with some kind of fap-happy need to fondle it all the damn time, just leave it alone and it'll get where you need it to be.
