I’ve been holding 2 BTC since 2015. Since then I picked up various other coins. I didn’t sell any at the top and watched my portfolio drop from nearly $50k USD to about $10k. I’m still ahead, but for a while I though this was going to be my ticket out of wage slaving.

So my question is, when do we cash out? What would you set as a BTC a price target for you to sell? I got greedy at the last top and FOMO’d myself into not enjoying any of my crypto gains. Feels bad man.

I feel you, I had 48k, down to 8k. I tempt myself with daytrading but I am such a pansy so i will never gamble like that.

I’ve had this same thought, but the idea of losing my precious BTC that way sucks worse than the fiat paper loss.

Why not now? Market is tanking and it WILL take crypto with it. You’re looking at a year+ of recovery so you figure 2 years+ before it’s worth what it is now. Don’t get greedy, you’ve turned a profit why not take the money and run?you might really be kicking yourself in the ass when your internet coins are worth less than 2k here in a few months.

Crypto is probably the easiest to swing trade.
To be relatively safe, just pick a solid coin like ETH, wait for extreme oversold, pessimism and then buy a thousand dollars worth of ETH and just wait a day or two for it to bounce bight and cash out

We haven’t seen how crypto performs in a equity bear market or recession... how can you be so sure about that?

Do you trade on technicals or just wait for big dips?

I’m not sure, but I think it’s much more likely crypto falls with everything else than it is that it gains value. People are going to flip shit and I don’t think it’ll be crypto they’re putting their money in. You’ve already seen what holding the bag too long will do..

I don’t know... depends on the nature of the crisis I guess. If it’s a liquidity crisis, then you’re probably right. If it’s a currency crisis and values drop like Canadian funny money just did, crypto could be seen as an opportunity.

I also could be lying to myself because I want John McAfee’s $1mil prediction to come true.
