Pretty much everybody with a brain realizes that btc or gold aren't correlated with the stock market. However, the federal reserve's only repsonse to a recession is to cut rates and print money. When they do that, they devalue the dollar, which in turn makes sound money look more preferable. I'm guessing the next round of QE will coincide with the next block halving.

I'd look for btc to keep going down in the short term with bakkt not doing shit and the gox coins dumping. If that happens, load the fuck up. If a recession hits, BTC will moon like a motherfucker because the fed funds rate is already low and we're coming off 10 years of 0% rates. If we hit a bad recession BTC will get close to a million in a few years.
