2017 was the golden bull run
2014 was first sell off

Accept you missed the boat, and move on

>> No.12211487

Bitcoin was in a bullrun year after year, so yes obviously any price movement that you can find during that huge bullrun will be followed by a price increase.

That doesn't indicate that the pattern is responsible (or an indicator) for the price increase, it just means that bitcoin was in a 5+ year bullrun.

Fuck, the amount of retards in crypto who think they are all-star financial market analysts is mind boggling.

Nah we've never had hyper liquidity with all the retards "tethered up".
Never had so many people watching on the sidelines.

read this, essentially sums up the process for a new store of value and monetary system to take over.

The forthcoming world recession will only accelerate bitcoin adoption.

Alright, so there are two things to pretty much explain this.

> Can the bull run be manufactured?
> Is there an incentive to manufacture a bull run?

If you answer yes to both then you can bet your ass its basically going to happen every 2 years from now on.

>Nah we've never had hyper liquidity with all the retards "tethered up".

Not only that but stable coins with no need to even use an exchange. We have so much tethered up money that a confirmed bull would fucking push us over 10k in less than 24 hours lol

There's a financial crisis coming in 2019 with a stock market collapse. Another 2008. People will be throwing in with gold and Bitcoin. I wouldn't count out another bull market later next year.

Why the hell would people invest in something as volatile as bitcoin during a recession? If anything, btc will drop even more.

>> No.12213110

>>12213057
Imagine your stocks have fallen 70-80%. Why would you pull out from a risky asset into another risky asset (fiat) which is being inflated? Wouldn't the logical thing to do be to put it in another asset that is low risk & increasing in value? That's going to be gold and Bitcoin this time.

>> No.12213121

>>12213110
If things get so bad that stocks are falling by 80%, the only thing one should invest in is food water and ammunition. In a scenario like this bitcoin could very well go to single digits.

>> No.12213296

I lived through the great recession. It was bad, but not anything like Mad Max/Book of Eli/Fall Out. Gold and silver was the thing everyone talked about investing in. If you were extremely lucky you got into Bitcoin but back then it was synonymous with Ponzi scam. Everyone including friends tried to explain how the housing market collapsed and it was the greedy borrowers that inflicted damage on themselves by spending. Nobody was stocking up on food and ammo - they weren't survivalists.

Just look at the demographics of people that own all the stocks. They are mostly the top1%. These people can buy only so much ammo and food. They will put their money into investment vehicles and I'm speculating that Bitcoin is something they are willing to put in 1-3% of their wealth in.

>> No.12213352

It would be nice if it shot up like that. But, even if it goes sideways there is still money to be made on reversions to the mean. Not as fun and exciting as it rocketing up but gains can be made with many small increments compounding over time. In order for it to shoot up people will have to get interested in it in a big way. A lot of the people that got burned once last year are not going to jump back in too easily, in time they will forget or others will come along and dump money in. Unless it just plain breaks apart, fails, epic economic meltdown, revolution, it should come back up in time, slowly even.
