Don't you fags have an attention span that lasts longer than a couple months? If you look 2-3 years ahead, there's no asset with a potential ROI as large as Bitcoin.

>but no intrensic value!!

The value is whatever people say it is, all forms of exchange are fundamentally worthless in and of themselves. The US dollar is a piece of paper and gold is just a shiny rock.

>but this time it's going to zero!

yeah sure, people have been saying that since 2011 but I'm sure that THIS time it's different. You know, just because

TL:DR is: You're a fucking idiot, OP

ETH and BTC are far riskier holds than people here admit. BTC has going for it only the brandname, and that won't matter anymore once coins will start being used for actual apps. Also not to mention there are at least 50 coins which do exactly what BTC does but way better - and have much lower denominations, which is a huge deal for the average stupid normies.
ETH is going to face some of the biggest technical challenges any coin will have to deal with in the next coming years simply because it's the only coin which is used for anything, so in case it'll fail it could fail colossally.
This is why you have to diversify now much more than ever. First advice, dump your BTC for real cryptocurrencies like BCH, DCR, ZEC, etc. (XMR is technically a shitcoin , but that's another post). I'm so bearsih about BTC I won't buy it while it's 4 digits.
The onyl reason people lose money on alts isbecause they only buy them based on hype and shilling, they don't look for coins with real use cases. I could find you at least 50 coins today which have a chance to be in actual use in 4-5 years, which makes them potentially a 1000% - that's far far far FAR better than going into a casino in las vegas and playing black jack.

Make a plan and stick to it. Don't let your emotions rule over you. Have a number and if BTC reaches that number, buy back in. Have a number you'll buy in at if it keeps rising and plan to hold. If you have a plan you won't be twiddling your dick wondering what to do.
For example, I have various numbers I plan to accumulate more at and plan to hold for years. I've purchased 10% of my stack at every $500 level starting at $4000, reserving the final 50% for if it hits $1200 (about the height of the previous bull run). So, I'm 20% in right now and in profit, but even if it goes down, I don't care, because I'll just buy more. Assuming this shit DOES hit $1200 my average buy in price will be 2130. If the bottom is 2500 and it starts shooting up and changing the trend, then I won't feel fomo because I'll already have a decent sized position.

wow an actual good, well thought-out reply. seriously didnt expect this from this shithole. thanks anon what you say makes sense and matches my sentiment. I think were going lower, Im still holding some BTC just as suicidie insurance but I was way overinvested and dont want to see my money evaporate week after week. if it shoots up to 20k tomorrow I still make money but if it dumps more I dont have to kms
