if the us dollar is backed by gold then why does anyone want to buy gold in a recession? why not just keep it in dollars.

the US dollar isn't backed by gold silly frog. that ended in the 70s for vietkong, the FED an agency independent of the government was created to print money in exchange for debt from the american people. the kikes don't need an army to control the planet if they control the money.
