Reminder that healthcare is one of the few decent-paying places you'll be able to be to escape the future hell of automation

I'm a nurse. Good money but it's pretty annoying when you have to interact with patients. Not sure where else I can take it but wew. Srsly thinking about going into informatics/data/admin because shit is driving me crazy. The sad truth is about 99% of people are there because they are too stupid to live. Maybe nurse practitioner for a cardiologist isn't so bad. Anesthesia looks fun too. Just please no more wiping shitty butts.

Just be a accredited clinical nutritionist and specialise in methylation / auto-immune / CFS / fibro / "leaky gut" -- and similar chronic conditions where current medication is inadequate. People are hungry for advise and personalised plan for healing via supplements / natural intervention. Open a clinic business, partner with / hire few other practitioners and you are set.

Ex. Thus Aussi clinic is booked till next Christmas and beyond. And look at the consultation fees for initial and follow-up sessions

Machine won't take responsibility, the algorithm wouldn't legally recover from making a mistake let alone hundreds of them. If anything automation helps the field.
I'm also amazed how my fellow docs can't code, though many of them are good at statistics.

Just shitty work bro.
Big respect from me but you will be a social punching bag.
Patient's bitch, then Drs bitch then as a male nurse a beta boy of the head nurse and the entire vagina mob.
Years of this will rewire your brain in very unhealthy way.
Get out seriously. Either become a doc or go drive truck or weld and die with dignity.

Pft, yeah right.
I have no love for private sector cucks like you. Why would you willingly take the private sector pill when you could enjoy secure employment for the rest of your life with good benifits in public sector? As tax secretary I`m making good 14€/h + 2 months of paid holidays + stipends for memberships in standing interdepartmental committees(currently only in standing subcommittee on efficiency standards and work ethics within tax administration) and stipend for my mandatory military service(amounts roughly to 2,000€ annually). There are plenty of work shortages in my department every single year and I get to work overtime almost on every holiday season.

It will be an ethical imperative when that algorithm has a significantly lower error rate scanning X-Rays than a radiologist does.

While that might be the case responsibility must always fall on some format of human hands. For example for every automated system or transaction in Finnish tax admin. we need at least 2 administrators to run it as double checkers.
