what are some super in demand professions in the business world where i graduate can expect to be "snapped up" immediately after graduation? i already have a masters but i cant get a job and i feel like I fucked up. im planning on supporting myself with a shitty job and enrolling in a second masters this time in a very high level area. I was thinking accounting/audit this time. what do you think anons? is getting a masters again even a good idea?

OP, what is your first masters in?

I would do masters in Comp Sci but you should try to do some open source contributions, try to get into a half decent school or you'll still have a hard time. Also check out teamblind.com and ask there

The six figure jobs are nurse, math, and software. So pick your poison.

BTW, these are only the fastest growing jobs for next decade. Other fields are growing as well like Air Traffic Controller, etc so do your research

If you're passionate about computers, you can do well. At the very least you should know basic programming (like Python) in any field you go into IMO

>What about SAS? I was thinking learning to become a "data scientist"

DS is saturated and media brainwashed you in thinking that "it's in demand". Without domain knowledge you'll feel terrible within few years unless you are 0.01% and work as ML Researcher.

Pro Tip: Get a charter / cert in domain-in-demand such as Finance (saturated may be) / CyberSecurity / HealthCare and then augment with Data skills (SAS is a good choice. Sprinkle some R).

Data scientist is a meme in my experience for people without a background in statistics. Knowing SAS is one of those great skills to have on your resume but probably not enough to be hired outright on it's own. Once your hired look at what the senior guys know(or just do a few informatial interviews). Are they Excel cavemen? Do they just write SQL queries all day? Once you figure that out try to get a relevant certificate and go from there. (though this is often not necessary as no body cares about certificates for some languages)
