12163639 No.12163639 [Reply] [Original]

For the life of me, I can't ever imagine being content with working. I don't have a problem contributing to society in other means, but I refuse for it to be at someone else's discretion.

Only a literal animal could be content living like this. The best way I can describe it is like being a horse, when you hitch a wagon to him, the horse doesn't contemplate his existence or even think twice about it, he just does what he's told.

When you ask someone at work what they think of working like this, their face goes blank. It's as if the thought never occurred to them that something is wrong. You try to have a deeper examination of the employee/employer "relationship" with them and they can't comprehend it. You try to propose to them alternative methods to working for their entire life and they practically short circuit right on the spot.

I'm convinced that those who are modern NEETs are descendants of former aristocracy. They see the system for what it is. We truly live in a society where humans are comprised of two groups - the self-aware entrepreneurial types who will not buckle to authority, and the mindless drones. It's truly terrifying to think some of you are even permitted behind the wheel of a car.

Successful entrepreneur. But I still have this same thought. There are no alternatives to this slavery. And as someone mentioned earlier, being successful in business is 90% luck and capital adequacy and 10% effort. So entrepreneurship as a escape route is tough. Privilege / Extroversion / Elitist Education constructs circle-jerks through which business operates (business is mostly bout connections and relationships with some transactions thrown into it)

http://ascentofhumanity.com/text/

This guy gets it and there may be some solutions but it may be too-edgy or ahead-of-time.

Contribution to a self-sustainable (ecologically and economically) eco-community sincerely without being enslaved is the only way.

There are 2 types of people, extroverts and introverts, that's it.
If you're an extrovert you will enjoy working around others and gain energy from them. Being a career person or whatever is actually good for you.
If you're an introvert then dealing with people will put more strain on you and 8 hours+ a day will be too much for you and will drain you off energy. In which case you are more preferred to be a self-employed guy, business owner, working a 1 man job (security site), working from home, farmer, etc.

It's really as simple as that, there is no deeper philosophy behind it. I worked many jobs and always hated those that had people in, that made me travel for long hours in public transport, etc. I also had a corporate job where I worked alone and I loved it, even though I was still following someone's instructions and had a wage pay. Now I work from home.

Out of 24 hours , I get 2 hours to do what I consider my only important task.

This is why 9-5 enslaves people. They spend those 2 hours watching the football game.

this

I was trying so hard to pursue entrepreneurial ideas for years and when I came home, my brain was just exhausted. I didn't want to do anything but zone out and put on a movie. Sometimes I could get some work done, but often times I would just fall right asleep. Then Saturday rolls around, it's your only real day to accomplish anything, you've day dreamed of this all week. You get a little bit done. Then Sunday comes and you spend the entire day dreading going back to work or running errands.

I even had periods of unemployment where I lived off my savings. For the first 2-3 months I didn't want to do anything - finally a break from this slavery. When I finally get back into the swing of things, then it was so stressful worrying about running out of money, I couldn't get anything done.

Quitting your job and going full NEET is the only way to possibly transition into entrepreneurship.

Had an epiphany this year. Two years into a PhD in biochemistry. The academics at my institute (aptly named as most are either mentally ill or psychologically incarcerated into servitude to science) work from 8am until 10-11pm frequently for around $32k (post-doc) and $38k for an entry level lecturer. Technically, for their hours worked, they earn less than minimum wage. I know they love their work (although you wouldn't think it to listen to them, most are depressed) but it's madness.

I left, which caused massive upheaval for my supervisor (ive published scientific journal papers which are the academic equivalent of profits and they wanted more), got a job in tech writing earning a comfy $46k from home with zero experience except a scientific background.

My expenses are super low as I live on a friend's land in a small cottage, with solar panels and gas bottles, log burner for heating. Around $300 per month between me and my gf, $150 each, no joke. Shes still studying.Got all we need for now, put away loads of savings (i.e. crypto investments).

When you have a full time job, commute, trash and dishes, maybe pets, laundry, buy groceries, whatever. You crave for time to just sort yourself out and do something you want to do(often just figure out what is it that you want to do) instead of continuously reacting to issues arising in your daily life.
Especially true if you are surrounded by leeches or lazies, the burden of mental stress increases. This is more of a curse the more proactive and smart you are.
Living alone prevents some of this, but increases depression if you don't like your job and expenses. I cope by yelling at others when I can't stand their (voluntary or not) ignorance anymore.

There are several things to take into consideration before you venture down this path.

1. how much debt do you have
2. what are your monthly expenses
3. can you move in with family
4. what is your monthly salary
>unemployment is proportional to your income
5. what state do you live in and what are the laws
>some states have more lax rules regarding unemployment, others are brutal
6. do you have a solid game plan to implement during your time unemployed
7. how can you reduce your monthly expenses
>being a NEET is not lavish lifestyle, it requires a budget, you eat staple foods, cook cheaply, don't go out - in exchange you receive your time
8. how will this affect your social life
>if you have one
9. how long have you been employed at your current job

The way that I've seen niggers get unemployment is very purposeful. Here are the steps, and again, this is dependent on your state:

1. Find good paying job
2. Show up to work on time, be polite, do what is asked of you
3. When presented with a task, fail to perform the functions
4. Refusal to perform a task, and inability to perform a task are two very important distinctions
5. Boss poors copious amounts of time into training you to perform the task
6. You still don't understand, it's too complicated
7. You are fired
8. You apply for unemployment
9. You go to the career center to get someone to sign off on your paperwork (process varies by state), pick out the dumbest looking busiest person you can find
9. You have to apply for X number of jobs per week that you are not qualified for
10. Collect your unemployment and get on food stamps

When you do finally decide to return to work, be mindful that unemployment gaps are unappealing to HR boomers. You may have to lie and claim you were working during this time period, possibly have a friend act as your boss. Businesses receive tax cuts to hire people on the government dole, easy to get a job somewhere like Walmart to pay the bills.

Exactly correct.
I believe Soren Kierkegaard talks about how people aren't even aware that they are suffering.
They don't take the time to examine the world around them, that's why people always feel like shit not have no idea why. So they distract from the void inside with consumerism or hedonism, usually both.
I still haven't figured out if it's better to be aware or ignorant. Although being aware of the suffering is worse especially when you can't do anything about it feasibly, I don't think I'd give it up for ignorance.

In these two years, Adolf lived a life of parasitic idleness -- funded, provided for, looked after, and cosseted by a doting mother, with his own room in the comfortable flat in the Humboldtstrasse in Linz, which the family had moved into in June 1905. His mother, his aunt Johanna and his little sister Paula were there to look after all his needs, to wash, clean and cook for him. His mother even bought him a grand piano, on which he had lessons for four months between October 1906 and January 1907. He spent his time during the days drawing, painting, reading, or writing 'poetry'; the evenings were for going to the theatre or opera; and the whole time he daydreamed and fantasized about his future as a great artist. He stayed up late into the night and slept long into the mornings. He had no clear aim in view. The indolent lifestyle, the grandiosity of fantasy, the lack of discipline for systematic work -- all features of the later Hitler -- can be seen in these two years in Linz. It was Iittle wonder that Hitler came to refer to this period as 'the happiest days which seemed to me almost like a beautiful dream'.

You're not the first or last to even think about this. Leftist commentators like Zizek or pic has said that people in general cannot imagine life outside of the current system. The latest round of French riots showed exactly that where people were angry but ultimately got minor concessions rather than radical political transformation.

Pro tips:

Live with parents , pay them 300$/Euros as Bed money and convince them that you will help them in any belongings.
Get a bicycle or a scooter to train/bus connection or directly commute to your job (DONT BUY A CAR IF U DONT NEED IT BADLY).
Save cash until you have respective amount invest savely a little amount in stocks and a bit in crypto and p2p loans.
do this at least 4 years when u 25.
If you live from parents food/groceries shopping you will save huge amount of cash per month.
Save until you have 100k €/$ show bank that you are liquid buy a flat on bank loan and then you move into it or you rent it to other wagecucks or if you are clever you rent it to a college flat commune (in germany you call it Wohngemeinschaft ) and rip them off every penny with a bit higher rent cost.

OP you claim to be "taking back from the system that sabotages the taxpayers" but you don't feel any remorse that this system that you are embarrassingly mooching off of needs honest and hardworking people or this entire country would collapse. All you are doing is self-justifying the fact that you are a lazy, good for nothing and unappreciative parasite that doesn't care about the contributions to society of your own brethren. Mocking the people who put food in your mouth will not make your life any better you fucking loser. I suggest you reevaluate your life and realize that you are truly a useless, self absorbed nigger and that you are worse than the people you criticize. I can't imagine how nihilistic and defeated you have to be to succumb to settling into complete nigger mentality. If you ever died, I can candidly bet that nobody around you will even notice a change of importance in their life.

It's a corrupted system. I'm not going to contribute to a government that willfully imports millions of laborers, both legal and illegal, to undercut my labor's value and thereby reduce my standard of living. And it goes even further beyond labor at this point to full blown ethnic replacement.

You will gladly pay through the nose for Jamal, Shalonda, Achmed, H1B and refugees - but when I do it suddenly it's a problem for you. You realize that by the government redistributing the wealth of whites to non-whites, it is essentially government sanctioned slavery? You can dress it up in whatever bureaucratic drivel you'd like, but at its core, it is slavery. If foreigners are going to get X welfare, then I'm going to get it too. All you people want to do is complain that you are untreated fairly by the government, yet nothing is stopping you from doing the same. Foreigners and brown people are being given unfair advantages over me and I will do my part to level the playing field. Getting on the government dole is my only legal recourse.

4chan braindead capitalist bootlickers fail to realize how the middle class is getting more exploited every year and the wealth of the rich keep on growing and inequality keeps rising.

and then you have some pol cuckservative retards complain about refugees when billionaires pay barely any tax, yeah man, the refugees are the problem, not Apple, Amazon, Facebook paying almost 0% tax and getting huge tax breaks by daddy trump who consistently shits on the middle class.

My great grandfather had one of the best farms in the county. 80 acres. It could have been divided amongst his children and passed down through the generations. Wanna know what his kids (and my grandfather) did instead? They sold the thing at auction to some Amish people for $200,000. That money is now gone. I remember walking around the farm as a young kid and imagining being a farmer and taking care of the livestock that he had. It’s a dream of mine to have land that I can call my own and homestead on.

The thing though is that everyone is trying to readjust the parameters of the system. Less or more taxes, immigration, swapping out politicians, privatize or nationalizing certain industries. At the end of the day people can't imagine what life would be like without wagecuckery and resigned themselves to accept a relationship between owner and worker which has it's inherent tensions as if it were a universal and natural constant. They ought to look for someway to undermine this current reality.

This. The idea wagecucking is some kind of burden is an atomic grade bluepill young people of slightly above average intelligence dream up in their quest for meaning. In truth many men subconciously SEEK the leash; they crave the structure and the lack of personal responsibility. This includes most of you, complaining about wagecucking but still doing it. There's a dozen ways to break the cycle, from walking out of civilization to building your own business or earning so much you're financially independent. Yet even those who do frequently come back here to lament they made it and still feel empty. To which /biz/lets love to shout LARP, because the belief money will fix your problems is required to push away the idea you are the problem

I literally just stay on bed all day and make money

>> No.12175408

>>12175273

I've spent the past 10 years in poverty because I'd prefer that to wagecucking, but not having enough capital to start anything has been my major issue.

I see it like this. Wagecuckery as a thing exists because various people find it easier to submit to the control\'guidance' of groups of people or individuals above them, and this creates a trap for those who wish to break out of it. MOST women absolutely enjoy work and would opt for work anytime they could over any type of real 'freedom', so over the past 30 years as women have steadily moved into all industries and now thanks to wage-gap activism get pretty much 50% of jobs reserved for them - these women are happy, they have 'married' corporations\the government in the same women women used to willingly marry into polygamous men's harems. This creates an added burden of competition for those men who aren't happy with this situation.

Every day when I did work, I was always so confused why there was so much inefficiency around me. I kept thinking about how if everyone just had some common sense, we could all work so much less, and still have a high standard of living... but then I started asking talking more to co-workers and finding out that many of them really LOVED the work.

>> No.12175826

>>12175408
I think the Industrial Revolution is the reason we work so much. People were working 12 hours a day in the early 1900s, so I don't think it's women per se. No doubt that women entering the workforce since the 60s have killed wages and thus killed incentive to work - I mean, they literally doubled the labor force.

>>12173739
And yes, most people do enjoy work. They are not creative or original thinkers, they need other people to tell them what to do, it provides them with structure.
