Is there anything with a better interest rate or rate of return than a Savings Account that has the same liquidity?

Why online banks? Why not traditional banks or credit unions?

They tend to have higher rates for some reason.

maybe like, not having to pay tellers or have physical branches saves them money?

True, I guess paying Pajeet to take your phone calls in an unairconditioned shack in Bangladesh would save you some money.

Im sure there are brokerages with same day deposits. Etrade even has a debit card although I wouldnt use them unless you like to short stocks. Sounds like you just want to invest in some ETFs. Also check out lending clubs. Not sure they do same day deposits tho but its a solid 8-10% return. Every portfolio should have some lending notes
