1. everything you read on the popular Plebbit subs front pages is EXTREMELY HEAVILY manipulated by bots, while the admins full know about this (they handed full admin privileges to ---, which is why they removed their warrant canary)
2. a few months ago a BU dev found a bug in BTC which almost no one heard about, part of which because of the heavy manipulation. That bug looked like it was planted as a kill switch.

Their end-game is to kill crypto and nothing is safe because the chicken and the egg problems means you can only bootstrap a truly decentralized crypto once, so if BTC is killed (which will lead to ETH tanking very hard as well) there'll be no chance for another coin to start without being attacked from the start.

It is most likely the case that you could never bootstrap a truly decentralized crypto at all to begin with. However, neither centralization nor decentralization has ever been absolute in practice.
