You could buy Skycoin because it's pretty cool. You could also buy Skycoin because it's extremely low priced. You could buy Skycoin because it's got the best technological proposition. Or you could decide the reason to buy Skycoin is because it consistently releases updates. The project has been under development for 7 years already, and many people think it's too ambitious of a project. But in order to decide whether or not a project is too ambitious, you must consider the pace of development and how much progress has been achieved so far.

Skycoin gets alot of hate from crypto shills because there are many projects that are trying to build little bits and pieces of Skycoin's ecosystem, and Skycoin's very existence threatens to make all of them obsolete. It is too bad for them that all they can do is FUD the project. Eventually the concrete results of development become too apparent to deny. Skycoin has continued to consistently release updates throuought the bear market including the Skywire testnet, mobile wallets, updates to the Skywire software, and the CX programming language with a manual to learn it from.

Earlier this year, the Skycoin project suffered an attack from a contracted party who embezzled funds and dumped them on Binance. They also entered Synth's home and held him and his partner against their will, threatening and demanding cryptocurrency from them. The criminals involved have been arrested and jailed, but the law in China requires that there be legal proceedings for the Skycoin foundation to reclaim the funds that had been stolen from them. The legal proceedings commenced on Dec 12th, and will result in the Skycoin foundation reclaiming it's lost funds which will be needed to accelerate development efforts. There will also be more documentation to provide proof of the events of June 13th.

These are some of the things I had in mind when I recently decided to buy considerably more Skycoin than I already had to begin with.

Nice dubs

Because they have been continueing development during the bear market and they have actual products for sale (wallets, miners, antennas). Real investors will be determining value through revenue streams not through “this shitcoin might be worth xxx$ some day”

Binance froze the account funds that contain BTC that had been exchanged for the dumped Skycoin.

has the price continued to fall because another party has been dumping non-stolen SKY then? i've been buying, just curious who is selling such huge quantities (1m+ coins in the past few weeks out of 11m in circulation) down here

Yeah, I think that's early whales. Early investors in Skycoin were buying it for 40k satoshis, equivalent to $0.1 back in 2015. They can do what they want with their coins, i'm accumulating.

The team/bootlickers like to blame the community for asking for Binance since that allowed enough liquidity for the dumps to happen. This is a strange position to take considering the lack of exchanges was the reason the inevitable was delayed for so long. Apparently it would have been better to let this charade continue then to actually accept that Synth got chinked. As for the new 1million that Sky has moved to a distribution address but its not necessarily circulating yet. Dont ask about the plan for the allocation of new Sky since you'll just get shit on. No one is entitled to that information so just hope that they dont make the same mistake as before. An odd approach considering the events that transpired desu

The plan for the 1m sky is to pay the miners for testnet. It was stated the other day they only had a few hundred coins left. It’s fucking block chain dumbass. Go look at the Block chain and see where the coins go

with nothing to show for it except a copy-paste vpn with a non-crypto attached

That directly conflicts with the idea that skywire mainnet is coming in Q1. You could track the coins yourself. The point is when you have 14mil remaining of an initial distribution that can be distributed at any time some type of formal breakdown would be helpful. They can choose to continue to do things however they please but dont be suprised when people are wary to invest at the moment.

yeah i agree. 7 years and its absolutely nothing.
anyway.

I have another question for sky fags cause i do have some interest.

Why is the max supply 100 mil
the total supply 25 mil
and the circulating only like 11 mil?

with 1/10th of coins in circulation, is it even smart to buy this scam?
