Skycoin is actually way better for decentralization than existing cryptos because of, paradoxically, initial developer centralization. Mechanics of Skycoin will decentralize over time while cryptos exhibit a tendency to centralize over time.

How is this not bullshit? Look at it anon. releasing the entire 100 million supply would allow whales to end up with all of it and it will never be distributed to the public. Skywire nodes are cheap to run and in order to provide internet bandwidth they MUST be spread out over the world, not centralized in one location. Obelisk is designed to be cheap to run and have no block rewards in order to avoid the incentives that lead to centralization of mining that you see in BTC.

BTC gets daily FUD about miners who support forks, obviously are holding a fat warchest of BTC and now we think they will dump it to fund their hashwar. Where did they get the power to wage a hashwar, why don't we have any power to stop it? Because BTC is centralized, silly. Skycoin is working to fix this.
