What should I do? Should I just start shorting the market? Cost average down on equities? Buy precious metals as a hedge?
I just got into investing and I got in at the worst possible time.

why do you peanut brains always bring up metals? You realize you can short the market right? You dont need to risk your money on a fake "hedge" like precious metals

Maybe if you bought good yielding stocks instead of AMD you wouldnt have lost everything?

I didn't buy AMD. I refused to buy it because quite a few years back I saw it going for like 2 dollars a share, thought about buying it, then never did. Also, I'll never understand all of the hatred towards metals. Their prices always go way up during recessions.
