People were excited about REQ because it seemed like the upcoming leader in crypto payment solutions back then. Back then LINK was just the oracle solution REQ may or may not be planning to use. Everyone thought they were working with big groups like pwc and would find a way to do cross currency with or without it. As time went on it became apparant REQ is a shitcoin that is waiting for LINK and smartcontracts will do all the work. You may as well just buy LINK since that is all REQ is going to be, LINK with a front end. It is a total disaster of a project, outright false advertising and with a useless token. You don't need a fee for a front end, it's like adding an extra fee to metamask or something like that. Metamask is just a front end, likewise REQ is a front end if it ever comes out. Except with a fee for some reason.
Total false advertised disaster made by college students. It's not actually a network, it's just code connecting to Ethereum.
