If you are working for somebody 4 days/32-40 hours is good (having 3 days off is more important that total hours)

If you work for yourself, 55+ hrs 6 days a week untill you make it, then drop down to 20hrs in 3 or 4 days a week. Stopping work altogether will lower your quality of life.
