Nothing really. If you think you can buy something in bulk for $1 each and sell it for $10 then you are retarded. Maybe $1.10. It's very saturated and the margins aren't that high. You would need hundreds of thousands worth of inventory to sell and make a livable wage.

You're better off selling counterfeit goods.

there is some truth to this. you need to look at import charges too and also taxes. i don't understand american tax, but for uk, there are customs charges which may apply depending on the item, then VAT which is calculated from the sales price. also it depends if you are holding the stock or paying someone to store & ship it to the customer. there are things you need to look at.

but in order to find products, look at amazon and look in different categories to find best sellers, then search alibaba for the items.
since i have started this, it is very common to see products on amazon which i have seen on alibaba, same pictures and all.
