I have managed to save up over the years 20,000GBP in cold cash under my mattress.

Can I:

a) Deposit this back into the bank in 4 installments over 4 months so no questions are asked?

b) Do I have to pay tax? There hasn't been any gains so shouldn't be CGT tax, however I feel like the jews can automatically take some $ away from me...

Any clarity on this anons?

You are better off never letting it touch your bank account. Why do you want it in your bank account so much?

I think you should always prepare an answer. The bank teller may ask. But "savings I kept under my mattress" is a reasonable answer.
>b) Do I have to pay tax? There hasn't been any gains so shouldn't be CGT tax, however I feel like the jews can automatically take some $ away from me...
How did you earn it? Was it undeclared income that should have been taxed?

launder it gambling, if you dojt fuck anything up youll lose 1-2%, its tax free at that point and clean, you can do anything with it.
you could just take it to the bank and tell them you won ot gambling, though if they ask and theres no paper trail you could be in bother.

lol, so you gambled 20k and came out with $19800. When the bank asks you say you won't $19800 but when they check your receipts they say you lost $200 and ask where the original 20k came from. So aren't you still screwed?

its 20k, not 200k, assuming theyre not in the middle of nowhere it wont be anything the banks havent heard before, gambling isnt exactly alien to this island.
besides he doesnt need to deposit it all in one account or in one go.

Yes, I've never understood quite how money laundering works with these things.
I mean, I understand it's not foolproof but still it seems like people imply it's easy to launder money through gambling when it seems like a cursory glance would still throw up questions. And if they weren't going to bother... then why would they bother with the initially money used to bet?

its not easy but it is possible.
i could do it but somebody with no experience would fuck it up for sure.

So could you provide a quick rundown on how roughly the initial sum is laundered to look semi-legit? Just for curiosity coz I really can't imagine how when you presumably begin with a large sum of dirty money and the paper trail appears to begin by making relatively large bets.
