What does /biz/ think of fraternities? were you in one in college? was it worth it?

if you want connections when you get out then they can be a big help. Also, they arent all the same so if you find one that fits your style then there will probably be a bunch of people you will get along with.

>What does /biz/ think of fraternities?
I believe they should be classified as an intangible asset

>were you in one in college?
no, i had friends

>was it worth it?
See question #1. I make it a point of not taking into account intangibles when calculating a company's total net asset value.

Reporting in, personally it definitely amplified my overall college experience exponentially. Acquired more platonic friends/acquaintances, access to more AND hotter girls, better parties, mixers, etc. Not to mention networking perks during and specifically after college (lots of job referrals and employee candidate-recommendations). Like someone else said though, each org is different and has its own vibe/general type of dude in it. Graduated 5 years ago and half my friends I hang out with to this day were in my frat, no ragrets frens.

I regret not joining one. It wouldve helped since I'm a nofriends autist loner now.

College is already a waste of time for you either way

they're stupid as fuck but if you're going for engineering or anything else difficult you want to join the frat for all the free shit they give you like textbooks, last years tests/exams, last years homework, and because so many teachers copy paste from year to year you can nail every test. I wasn't in one and got fucked because all the frat kids had the fucking tests it was bullshit.
