Chances are when it does, it'll be after months and months of devastatingly bad news that utterly destroys even your interest in BTC. The network will be nearly dead, large miners will have closed shop, several exchanges will close down due to poor profitability, transactions will take several hours at best. Absolutely awful stuff.
