My friend was renting a house in Melbourne that went up for auction and didn't sell. The agents were frantically negotiating in the weeks post-sale trying to get it sold.
Out of interest, my friend looked up the listing 2 months after the auction, when it still hadn't sold, and the listing said "Sold at auction". I wouldn't be surprised if this sort of blatant misreporting is rife.

Of course it is man, the real estate agents in this cuntry are fucking scheming rats.
Don’t fall for the area meme, just live somewhere far away from poos, coons, nogs and fucking chunks and you will be fine (regional hubs). Fuck cities

10% would be a start, but we need 50%+ drops across southern ontario to get back to levels where the people in the local economy can actually afford to buy without putting themselves into precarious debt level

I would say more of a drop than 9.5 my PPOR purchased for 750 in 2012 would have been able to get 1.3 comfortably 2 years ago now it would struggle to get to 1.1
