Exactly. We can't escalate that to several divisions because ISIS is dead and we can't withdraw them until the Kurdish areas are fully puppeted.

Kick off a war while a handful of troops are cutoff there and they get steamrolled within minutes, with casualty tallies on CNN within hours.

Unfortunately there is a high chance thats real. Trump probably knows that no wall means no re-election. So short of a wall his next best chance would be a war. But war with Iran means WW3 since Russia will not back down when their best ally is attacked. The Wall is unironically our best stop at preventing WW3.

There won't be a war with Iran but if there was, defence contractors like Lockheed would probably moon, oil companies in other regions might see some growth & oil prices/futures would likely increase. Industries in countries that rely on Iranian oil would crash.
