Need Advice From Experience Crypto Investors

I want to start this off by saying this is not a shill thread or a fud thread, if you are doing either of those just leave.

I have a serious question about not just Constellation Labs but any crypto project in general but we will use Constellation as the example.

Raises SAFT round in Jan 2018 with ETH @ $1000 so approximately 33,000 ETH i would assume. Obviously ETH dropped 85% or so since then. Some people say they didnt sell their ETH until May/June and may still hold some.

Regardless if thats true, wouldnt it be good transparency for any project to come out and show their current balance? In the real world if a company took investment in lets say Venezuelan Bolivars in January and they crashed 85% since then wouldnt new incoming investors want proof they converted the original investment currency to something a bit more stable? Personally I wouldnt invest until I had absolute proof because its a reasonable request given the circumstances.
The team at Constellation ignored the question and the shills came out swinging just for asking. So the question, is this unreasonable because I dont see how any new investors will come in knowing they could be investing in a project that doesnt have the cash to execute the technology people are betting on.
Please keep it civil in here, there are some thin skinned DAG shills going psycho on people and there are some equally psycho fudders that hate this project too.
Any other similar situations in other projects? Were they transparent about it or did people just blindly put their money in and didnt care about the teams financial ability to deliver?

At this point I won't invest (as in buy and hold. I'll flip anything short term.) in any project that held an ICO unless they are open to discussing their financials. There's been way to many scam projects out there and dumb teams who just wanted to raise a bunch of ETH and are now dying. Not shilling, but the only ICO project I currently hold is JNT. They raised 30M in ETH then cashed out to fiat after closing their ICO. They're open to talking about how they're allocating funds and have been smart about how their managing this money. In my experience though....most teams are not. I'm that guy in telegram you've seen who asks these kinds of questions. Most of the time people get all weird about it like it's inappropriate to talk about money or something....it's not.

Nothing against them, most of these crypto projects are run by inexperienced new business execs who drank the koolaid and thought cryptocurrency would replace the USD in a matter of months. As soon as it start going into free all they kept drinking that same koolaid thinking the next golden bull run was coming. Then it never came and they need capital but now their original raise is down 80-90%.
This poses as serious threat to any project, only serious professional teams with a future come out and prove their strength. All the teams that weren't smart enough to dump their ETH right away usually get offended by the question or point to their GitHub like some programming making edits proves fuck all
Long story short looks like Constellation Justed themselves if they didn't they would be proudly showing off their capitalization to attract serious investors. Smart projects are doing that, shitcoins are hiding everything to avoid irrelevancy and total loss of confidence.

I agree, don't understand why teams or their community are against this. Unless your part of a Ponzi scheme most people should want to fully understand that whatever they invest their money in has stability. Crypto is a risky bet to begin with, and if the tech is solid could have amazing returns. But it becomes 100x more risky if the original currency used in the raise collapsed and there is no transparency around how the team reacted and how it impacted their plans.
In the case of Constellation they made a long term plan to execute on a big challenge and calculated $33M would be enough to get them through. I'm not making any accusations but I believe it's pertinent the team address how the sale of ETH impacted them and how much capital they have left. This way I as a bagholder can understand the potential for success and invest accordingly.

Is this a fair assessment of the situation or am I missing something?
